In the Christmas spirit of goodwill to all men (and all women, for goodness sake), I’ve written a story called Hostage, which even has a happy ending – well, for some folks, at least.

It’s a prequel, of sorts, to Hunted, and features hostage negotiator Danny Shanklin.

It’s something I’ve done for Quick Reads, a cracking organisation, and here’s a look at the tasty cover they’ve come up with:

Hostage is about an eighth of the length of a full-size novel – perfect, in fact, for a commute or just a spare hour’s reading you’ve got to yourself.
